A selection of earlier series and paintings developed over time. These works trace the evolution of my visual language through landscape, light,trees and abstract forms, leading towards my current studio practice.
Between
Between (2026) explores the space where forms emerge, dissolve and shift. Built through layered acrylic, pastel and erasure, the paintings remain suspended between abstraction and recognition, allowing the image to stay open rather than fixed.
Displacements
A 2026-series exploring displacement through layered paper, ink and acrylic. Transparent surfaces, shifting forms and unexpected material responses became ways of investigating how an image changes as new layers are introduced.
What Lingers
The works in this series (2026) originates from dream sketches, and are exploring what remains after a place or a moment has passed. Layers, traces and fragments hold on to memory without describing it directly.
Interstisces
Interstisces- series (2026) explore the spaces between form rather than the forms themselves.The paintings focus on intervals, transition and quiet relationships within the image.
States of movement
States of movement (2025) explores movement and shifting states rather than fixed forms. Across the three paintings Circulation, Condensation and Displacement paint, line and colour were used to trace rythm, balance and moments of transition within the body and the landscape.
Before the Snow
Painted in quit transition before winter, this series (2025) explores the landscape at the threshold of change. Muted light, bare branches and softened colours capture the suspended moment before snow transforms the terrain.
Internal Interactions (2025) is a series of paintings that study nature from inside. In the creating of the works focus was on a biologist, biosemiotic and philosophical approach to the pre studies and final works.
Surroundings
The Surrondings series (2024 – 2025) reflects something that can be seen as conversations between senses and elements.
Symphony
The Symphony series (2023- 2024) tell tales of contrasts between the solid and permanent and fluid and ephemeral.
Climes
The Climes series (2022-2023) is a further processing of memories from sensory impressions in plein air.
Perceptions
In the Perceptions series (2020-2021) light of nature in winter and how it affects perception of shapes and colours are explored.
Timeless Motion
The paintings in the series “Timeless Motions” from 2025 explore nature, and humanity’s connection to nature. These paintings can be seen as studies of nature from outside, represented with an abstract interpretation of a magnifyed part of tree trunks
Life on our planet
The works in this series (2019 – 2020) are reflections on humanity’s impact on nature. Apparently descriptions of life on earth. Beneath the surface on every work is a written quotation from “Life on our planet”, by Sir David Attenborough.
When the world quivers
The series of works in the series “When the world quivers” includes works in watercolour and ink made in the periode January – March 2025. The works were created as a response to external events, from an inner space of sensory memory. Centered on impact on nature, humans, lives and beeing. Past, present, beyond.
