Painting and works on paper shaped through slow observation, layered processes and the movement of the body.
I live and work in Oslo, Norway, where the surrounding landscapes forms an essential part of my artistic practice.
Over the years I have developed a body of work through sustained investigations of trees, standing stones, light and landscape. My recent work brings these explorations together into a more distilled visual language centred on terrain, movement and layers.
I work across both painting and works on paper. The choice of medium is guided by the question I am exploring rather than by format itself. Paper offers a space for close attention to gesture, transparancy and material response, while painting allows for a broader spatial and bodily experience.
My practice is rooted in slow observations. By returning repeatedly to the same place over time I explore how landscape changes through light, weather, water and the passing of seasons. These encounters are translated into painting through layering, gesture and the physical qualities of the materials themselves.
The work begins long before the brush touches the surface. Repeated encounters with the same place, the same materials and the same questions allow the paintings to move beyond first impressions and towards a deeper understanding of place and presence.

Gallery OMK, Oslo (June 21st – 29th 2025). Solo exhibition. The exhibition includes paintings from the series “Symphony”, “Timeless Motion” and “Eternal Interaction”. It also included works in watercolours and ink from the series “When the world quivers”.
